I was excited to dive into this pretty!! I absolutely adored The Play Mate. It was often times laugh out loud funny to me and I loved the banter between Smith and Evie. Evie came ready to play. She had had a crush on Smith for years and knew she wanted to go after him. Smith, on the other hand, was completely unaware. Even though things got awkward for a minute, neither could stop thinking about the other. The passion was simmering beneath the surface and I couldn’t wait for things to finally heat up! And did it ever! I liked the fact that these two had a long history and it was a long time coming. Once they got a taste, they couldn’t hold back! It was so sweet, sexy and completely captivating. I didn’t want to put this down, yet I didn’t want this book to end! If you enjoy a good friends-to-lovers story, this is one not to be missed!
